How to cut cell phone bills

How to reduce your cell phone costsReduce your cell bill
Tired of high cell phone bills?

Here are some simple ways to reduce your cell phone bills.

1.) Switch to Prepaid - Of Course we suggest switching to a prepaid plan. This is the single biggest thing you can do to reduce your overall costs. It does not make sense any longer to sign up for contract phone service. In the past this was one of the only ways to get quality phones. This is no longer the case. Many of the larger prepaid services offer unlimited calling, texts and data if you need to "take your office on the road".

2.) Ditch your home phone - Consider getting rid of your landline phone (if you still have one). More and more people are realizing this is an expense you don't need to have with the wide use of mobile phones.

3.) Skype - Register for a FREE Skype account and make calls for FREE! That's right you can make free calls to other Skype members from your computer, phone or even your tablet. As long as you have access to Wi-Fi you can instantly connect with family, friends or business associates from across town or around the world! You can even see who your calling with free video calling. If you are a Kindle Fire owner you can download the free Skype app to make calls and video calls right from your Kindle Fire! This is one of my favorite ways to stay in touch with family...If you own a Kindle Fire...give it a try, I think you'll love it!

4.) Google Voice - Like we posted previously, Google Voice has a lot of great features when you want to keep your cell phone number private and want to really take control of your calls and messages. One thing is, you must have a Gmail account to use Google Voice. See more information on Google Voice.

5.) Consider a "Minute Only Plan" - If you aren't a big talker, why pay for a plan each and every month? If you only use your phone occasionally or for emergencies, consider switching to a plan such as Tracfone. The "cost per minute" is higher but the savings over the course of a year can be several hundred dollars. With many of their plans you can get what they call "triple your minutes". With these plans, Tracfone triples the number of minutes you buy. So if you buy a 400 Minute, One year card you will have one year to use 1,200 minutes. The costs for this card is $99.99, so you could have cell phone service for an entire year for $100.00! Pretty hard to beat! Plus, you can often find promo codes on Tracfone's website offering even more minutes. For example, they are currently offering 250 bonus minutes on the card mentioned above which would mean you would have 1,450 minutes for the year.
Tracfone's slogan is "The Cell Phone that Puts You in Control" and that is true. If you find you need more minutes, just add a few...plus the unused minutes roll over. You just need to be sure to add minutes to your phone before your current plan ends.
But I need a Smartphone! No worries, Tracfone recently came out with two new smartphones for their service. The Samsung Galaxy Centura and the ZTE Valet

Technology can make our lives easier and cut our expenses too! Embrace it!
